About this speaker

Anna Siedzik is a lifelong multi-sport athlete, coach, and social justice advocate. She earned a B.A. in History from Yale University with a focus on education and the economic mobility of American immigrant populations. After working in public schools and civil legal services, Anna earned a M.A. in Museology from the University of Washington, where her thesis studied the history of kitchen material culture and the changing role of women in the household economy.

With a career rooted in non-profit management and civic engagement, Anna thrives at the intersection of race, culture, and gender in both society and in sports. In addition to her professional work in the museum industry, Siedzik currently volunteers as consulting activist and community leader for a variety of organizations related to affordable housing, human rights, youth empowerment, and gender equity. Locally, she coaches and serves on the Board for Hamilton-Wenham Youth Soccer, coaches for Hamilton-Wenham Youth Basketball, chairs the Housing Committee for the North Shore NAACP, co-founded the Hamilton-Wenham Humans Rights Coalition, and is an elected member of the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee. Beyond her immediate community, Anna is the Outreach Director for the Eastern Massachusetts Women’s Soccer League, is an Advisory Board Member for The Sports Bra Project, and volunteers as a player-advocate for the Global Goals World Cup and Equal Playing Field. Originally from Seattle, she now lives in Boston with her family.
