About this Speaker

Ann Kletz is the CEO and Co-Founder of Goal Five (goalfive.com). Ann brings to her work 25 years of a successful start-up, fundraising, and management experience as a CEO, founder, executive director, development director, and consultant. Prior to joining Goal Five, Ann was a Senior Principal at Carlson Beck, a boutique search firm that places CEOs and other senior-level executives in foundations and nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, Ann served as an independent consultant, directing large-scale initiatives, and facilitating organizational and leadership growth and development. Ann's early career was as a social entrepreneur. In 1994, Ann founded SportsBridge, a nationally recognized nonprofit that empowered girls through sports and leadership. She continued working at the intersection of athletics, youth empowerment and social entrepreneurship as Manager of Business Development & Athlete Relations at the start-up toy company Get Real Girl, Inc., as Founding Director of the Coaching Corps program at Team Up for Youth (now called Coaching Corps), and as West Coast Director for Right to Play -- a global organization that uses the transformative power of play to educate and empower children facing adversity.

Ann is an inaugural recipient of the Washington D.C.-based Fund for Social Entrepreneurs award and was recognized by Women's Sports & Fitness Magazine as one of the "20 Most Influential Women in Sports." She graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Biological Anthropology and played Division I Soccer for Harvard for four years. Ann served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Berkeley Tuolumne Camp and was the founding Board President for the East Bay Eclipse Soccer Club. When Ann is neither working with Goal Five nor playing soccer on the field, she spends her free time hanging out with and inspiring her two daughters.
